Sequoia National Park - May 20-22, 2000

This tree is advertised as the largest living thing in the world. This picture does not capture its enormous hight.

These small plants are called snow plant and provide a rare burst of color in the forest.

The end of a long day of hiking. Helene and I were tired, but Steve & Eric did a 12 mile, 3000' elevation hike into the snow the next day.

Helene inside a live tree. Eric is hidden in the shadows at the back.

Stevc in front of wierd rock near top of Moro Rock. These rocks are cooled magma that at one time fed volcanos.

Eric getting comfortable with the rocks.

Just had to include one picture of me.
